Instructional Videos
I have produced different types of videos for my own and other professors' courses throughout my career. I have created these types of videos using Camtasia, Adobe Presenter Video Express, Adobe Premier and Adobe Presenter. Some of the videos are older. Therefore, please excuse accessibility issues and some design decisions. Below, you will find some examples.
- Course Overview
-
Course Introduction
This is a brief introduction to a course on Evaluation of Instructional Products/Programs. In it, I set a scenario in which the skills developed via the course will be valuable. The video is displayed on the course homepage. I created it with FlexClip.com
- Training Lesson
-
Discussion of Email Management
This is an example of a training video I produced by recording PowerPoint screens for a training course. The topic is email management in a course on Records Management. I applied principles of multimedia design such as multimedia, signalization, modality, redundancy, etc. I embedded subtle animated backgrounds and used Amazon Polly for the narration.
- How Tos
-
Editing the Canvas Course Front Page
I designed and developed this video to guide faculty to edit their course front pages and worked with voice talent to record it.
- Welcome Video
-
Biochemistry
This is an example of a course welcome video I have produced for a course in which the professor provides an overview of the course and sets expectations. I created it using green screen technology and Adobe Premiere.
